According to the Bible, "In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;" (1 Timothy 2:9) So today's Think Tank Tuesday question is:
Can a pastor's wife wear revealing clothing and still identify as a Christian?

I think the question should leave off the "preacher's wife" part. In essence as a woman of God I believe that her dress was definitely way to revealing. Her husband who happens to be a preacher should have shown more leadership and advised her against the dress. I know a lot of people (women especially) don't like the idea of the man truly being the head. I find it easier to go with what God has laid out. Yes we all have sinned and there are plenty of areas in the Bible that people don't follow but that doesn't make any of those actions right.
ReplyDeleteBad choice on both of their parts.
