What does it mean to be a strong black woman? Is it merely having your own material gains (money, house, car, etc.?) Not needing the financial support of a man? Or should it mean so much more?  In the following video one woman explains why the strong black woman title is not one of honor. Check out the video:

Do you agree with the sister's point of view? If a woman decides to address herself as a strong black woman, shouldn't that be in reference to being of a lineage of resilient people who have overcome incredible obstacles in life instead of the negative, masculine, control freakish attributes many black woman associate with the same title?
