Think Tank Tuesday 7/19: The Bitches & Hoes Double Standard

Controversial Youtuber Tommy Sotomayor is back at it -- stirring up a little controversy but this time he brings up an interesting topic for discussion. Is there a double standard when it comes to who can and can't refer to black women as bitches & hoes? 


In the video below Mr. Sotomayor talks about a discussion he had with a woman where at some point he tells her "I don't like black bitches." 

Somehow that discussion made its way to Worldstarhiphop.com resulting in a firestorm of derogatory terms hurled at female members of his family. Sure most of his videos seem to degrade black women but this one does present a valid argument -- why is it okay for rappers and entertainers to refer to black women as bitches and hoes but not okay for others to do the same? What are your thoughts? Is Tommy Sotomayor right in his reasoning -- women who are okay with entertainers using derogatory terms towards them should have no problem with other men doing the same or is his simply off his rocker?
