Mission: Our primary focus is to provide our readers with
music created by talented artists, producers and DJs across
the globe to balance out the monotony of today's mainstream
music. The secondary focus is to provide a means for these

individuals.
So many people hit me off with their projects I thought it would only be fair to share their material and have it critiqued by my readers. My only warning is there may or may not be some extremely wack stuff here, but on the other hand you might come across the next big thing; so be patient and fair. After you check things out, let me know what you think. Leave a comment below, or send me a tweet letting me know if the project is a smash or if it's trash.
Then go let the artist know and tell them Big Jye sent ya! The whole point is to give the artists some feedback on their work. Let's go!
Happy Monday to all my readers. This week I present to you a challenge. It's very simple, I want you to cut away all the safety nets you have in your life. Safety net you ask? Precisely -- it's anything that enables your bad or irresponsible behavior. The family or friends that bail you out when you live outside your means -- cut it away. The person you call to fulfill physical needs when you know you need a healthy relationship -- cut it away. The people who make excuses when you don't stick to your diet (because you weren't really trying)-- cut it away. You get the point. You're cutting all facilitators of bad behavior out of your life so if you fall, there won't be anyone to catch you and you'll have no choice but to get back up and do things right. Sound harsh? No worries it's not as harsh as it sounds. People with safety nets have no healthy fear of falling because they know someone will be there to catch them. It's like not having a fear of fire because you can't get burned. It's only when there is no safety net that true respect for what's at stake comes into play. A person who lives outside of their means would quickly learn to budget if they knew they couldn't borrow money from anyone and their rent was due for example. What I'm proposing is not for people to fail, instead I'm proposing that people succeed no matter how difficult the task at hand may be. They succeed because without a safety net they take life more seriously and make better choices. Check out the following video by Dr. Eric Thomas as he elaborates on how having a safety net in your life can hinder your chance at becoming great and succeeding at achieving your goals. Remember share this blog with someone and have a great week:
SMASH or TRASH is a place where I share music I've acquired with you all -- my global audience. You may come across wack music or the next big thing but the key is YOU choose who's hot and who's not. Check out the videos and make sure you leave the artists some love if you like what they did and some constructive criticism if you weren't feeling their stuff. You can always send me some feedback on Twitter by using the hashtag #BigJyeSmashorTrash. Let's help these artists reach their fullest potential.

Controversial Youtuber Tommy Sotomayor is back at it -- stirring up a little controversy but this time he brings up an interesting topic for discussion. Is there a double standard when it comes to who can and can't refer to black women as bitches & hoes?

Just when you think tensions between black citizens and police officers couldn't get any higher this happens: [Officer Rodney Lee Wilson was terminated from the Overland Park force Friday (July 8) once authorities learned he left a menacing message under a photo of LaNaydra Williams’ daughter, India. Williams and her 5-year-old live 500 miles away and have never met Wilson, and were frightened as to what prompted the chilling comments.
“We’ll see how much her life matters soon,” Wilson wrote on a photo of little India. “Better be careful leaving your info open where she can be found 🙂 Hold her close tonight it’ll be the last time.”
Williams spoke with local Fox News affiliate WDAF and said she isn’t sure how Wilson even found her page or why.] source
