Did Kendrick Lamar Steal His Concept For "The Heart Part 5" From An Independent Artist?

Kendrick Lamar's latest music video "The Heart Part 5" has been getting rave reviews since its debut on May 8, 2022. The video at the time of this writing had a whopping 15 million views. It showcases Kendrick Lamar against a plain background rapping as his face transforms into other people's faces via some really good deepfake technology. The concept and execution is mind blowing but the question is did he steal this concept for a music video from an independent hip hop artist named AK? 

In a music video that premiered two years earlier, hip hop artist AK released "Family Tree" a music video featuring him against a plain background rapping as his face morphs into other artists such as Eminem, Missy Elliot and Lil' Wayne. His video at the time of this writing stands at a little over 700 thousand views. Not too shabby for an independent artist, but it's a far cry from 15 million. 

While it's plausible that Kendrick didn't steal the concept or intend to steal it, there's no denying there are several similarities between the two videos. See for yourself below:
