A Message For All Humanity

Charles Spencer Chaplin is probably best known to some for his comedic work in silent films, but he was also a writer, director, actor, editor, producer, etc. In the movie "The Great Dictator" a satire on Nazis in Germany, Chaplin plays a poor Jewish barber who bears a resembles the dictator of Tomania, "who believes in a pure Aryan state and the decimation of the Jews".

In this film Chaplin gives a speech whose content was powerful for his time period but also for the times we are living in today. Below is a video someone created using the speech as the foundation which is coupled with footage from major events from today that really demonstrates just how timeless and relevant this speech truly is for all humanity. Enjoy!
