New Start: Use The Past To Succeed In The Present

Happy New Year everyone! As you embark on a new year don't forget to reflect on the past year remembering all of your challenges, failures and successes. It's good practice to always remember where you've come from to keep you grounded, appreciative and motivated to pursue new goals. Embrace it all, the good, the bad and the ugly.

The challenges you've overcome have made you stronger, more efficient, and much more durable. The success you've experienced this past year should have made you more thankful, increased your confidence, and given you a drive unmatched by your former self.

Believe it or not even your failures played a major part in where you are now, whether good or bad. We tend to see failing as a miserable end but it is all in how you look at things. The next time you think of failure in a negative sense, consider this quote by Mary Pickford:
"You may have a fresh start any moment you choose, for this thing that we call 'failure' is not the falling down, but staying down."
Instead of viewing failure as a bitter end, think of it as merely the beginning. If you fail at something, dust yourself off and try again and again and again, until you've learned all there is to learn from failing and eventually you succeed.

As you step into the new year, do so with a clear understanding and acceptance of what got you this far (good and bad.) Of course leave 2017 baggage & negativity in 2017 and start 2018 afresh, with a new ideas, new motivation and a new outlook on how great life is and can be. Have a great week!
