...his name. lol...I know I got some of you worried. Mos Def revealed that the name 'Mos Def' will cease to exist for him at the end of this year. Yes he's retiring....his name, not from hip hop...lol. Hey I have to have a little fun.
“I’m retiring the Mos Def name after 2011,” he told MTV in the interview, which appears to have taken place at Rock The Bells. He explains that although he feels he’s had a fruitful career, the rappers sees the name change as something of a fresh start. “It’s time to expand and move on.”
“Also, I didn’t want to have to deal with having a moniker or any seperation between the self that I see and [what people refer to me as],” he told MTV."
