Talk about a messed up story. A woman and her 4 year old son got hit while jaywalking by a fellow who had been drinking and taking meds that day. The fellow flees the scene, the little boy dies, and the cops catch the driver. Check this out. The driver gets only 6 months and if that's not bad enough the mother is looking at three years behind bars. What the hell is up with our Justice system? Is there really a need to punish a woman who is already serving a life sentence-- she will live with the guilt that her action was the partial cause of her son's death, then she has to live with the fact that her baby is dead. Sounds like she's already served enough time to me.
